ISP Versailles Conducts Special Halloween Patrol

(Versailles, IN) – Troopers from the Indiana State Police Versailles Post conducted a special Halloween patrol last Friday to ensure safe roadways by targeting those who were driving recklessly or conducting criminal activity.

Seventy-two citations and 99 warnings were issued by troopers who primarily patrolled along I-74 and I-65.

There were six criminal arrests – mainly for drug possession and drug paraphernalia.

In addition to moving violations, tickets were also scratched out for operating while never having received a valid license, and driving while suspended.

Troopers conducted eight motorist assists and one commercial motor vehicle inspection.

The increased patrols were part of an ongoing effort to reduce crashes and enhance safety through high-visibility enforcement.

ISP reminds all motorists to drive responsibly, never operate a vehicle while impaired, and always obey posted speed limits and other posted signs.

Troopers say safety on Indiana’s roads depends on every driver making responsible choices.
