(Versailles, IN) – Indiana State Police troopers from the Versailles Post conducted high visibility patrols on Southeastern Indiana interstates on Sunday.
Troopers wrote 14 traffic tickets and issued 45 warnings; conducted seven truck inspections; assisted 10 motorists and investigated one crash.
One motorist was cited for reckless driving, while another driver was arrested on drug charges.
“Troopers will continue to make patrols on our area interstates a high priority during heavy traffic days. They will primarily be observing for those operating unsafely and those who may be committing criminal violations such as possession of controlled substances and operating while impaired,” said Versailles Post Public Information Officer Sgt. Stephen Wheeles.
