Indiana Fever Bolster Defense

The Indiana Fever have made another bold move in their impressive offseason by signing forward Brianna Turner, a two-time WNBA All-Defensive Team honoree.

Turner, known for her elite shot-blocking and rebounding ability, brings experience and defensive prowess to a Fever roster aiming for a deep playoff run. Turner, a Notre Dame alum and 2018 NCAA champion, joins the Fever after spending the 2024 season with the Chicago Sky.

Her career averages of 4.6 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 1.2 blocks per game highlight her ability to influence games down low.

“I am ecstatic to join the Fever organization and compete for a championship,” Turner said. “The front office and coaching staff have assembled a dynamic roster that I’m looking forward to learning from and growing with throughout the season.”

The Fever’s front office, led by COO and General Manager Amber Cox, has focused on adding veteran leadership to complement their young core, including WNBA stars Caitlin Clark and Aliyah Boston.

“Brianna’s basketball IQ is off the charts,” said Cox. “She adds depth to our post rotation and is another fantastic veteran presence for us, both on and off the court.”

This signing continues Indiana’s aggressive offseason, which has seen the addition of seasoned players like Natasha Howard and DeWanna Bonner. After breaking a seven-year playoff drought in 2024, the Fever are looking to establish themselves as serious title contenders.

Reunited with former Mercury teammate Sophie Cunningham, Turner joins a team that is blending youth and experience to elevate its championship aspirations.

With Turner’s defensive strength and leadership, the Fever’s refreshed roster is set to make waves in the upcoming season.
