Batesville, IN—Former Batesville Street Commissioner Robert “Bob” John Hortemiller passed away Thursday at his home.
Hortemiller worked for many years as the street commissioner for the City of Batesville. He was a lifelong member of the VFW having served in Vietnam and Korea and an avid military history buff.
Visitation will be Monday, June 10, 2019, from 4-7pm at Meyers Funeral Home, Batesville, IN. Funeral Services will be Tuesday, June 11, 2019, at 10:00 am at the funeral home with Kurt Klingerman officiating. Burial will be in St. John Lutheran Cemetery Napoleon, In. with military honors by the Ripley County VFW Post 3183 and Prell-Brand American Legion Post 271.
