(Aurora, IN) – On June 21, 2023 at approximately 1:40 pm, the Dearborn County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to 15026 State Route 148 in Aurora for a female who was found unconscious and not breathing by a family member.
Dearborn County Sheriff’s Deputies along with Aurora and Lawrenceburg EMS arrived on scene and the female, Debra Hill (67) was determined to be deceased.
Detectives with the Dearborn County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene to conduct further investigation and were assisted by the Dearborn County Coroner’s office.
After the initial investigation and the autopsy were concluded, Debra Hill’s death was ruled a homicide.
The Sheriff’s Office doesn’t believe there is any immediate danger to the residents in the area but we encourage you to keep your doors locked and remain vigilant while we continue this investigation.
