JEFFERSONVILLE, IN — Ninth District Congressman Trey Hollingsworth has announced he will not run for re-election this year.
In a social media post, Hollingsworth said he made a pledge to limit his terms in office, and that the Founding Fathers did not intend for public service to be a career.
The Republican lawmaker was first elected to Congress in 2016.
Indiana’s redrawn 9th Congressional District will include Ripley, Franklin, Decatur, and Dearborn counties starting this year.
