BATESVILLE, Ind. — Hill-Rom is set to sell their architectural products line.
According to Hill-Rom executives, during an earnings call Thursday morning, it was discussed that Hill-Rom would be selling their architectural products line to Wittrock Woodworking based out of Cincinnati, Ohio.
Hill-Rom Architectural products include hospital bed headwalls, lights, and other hospital room furnishings.
The following statement was provided by Hill-Rom, “Hill-Rom has a definitive agreement to sell its Architectural Products business to Wittrock Enterprises. The divergence of the Architectural Products business from the rest of the Hill-Rom portfolio, and the likelihood of greater success for Architectural Products under new ownership, prompted this decision. We expect to close the transaction in 30 to 45 days.”
Wittrock Woodworking currently makes furniture for hospitals, churches, educational, and public institutions.
No official numbers have been released yet, but sources tell WRBI that up to 100 jobs could be affected.
WRBI will have more details as they become available.
