The following are high school boys golf recaps from May 31 and June 2, the final regular season dates of the year prior to sectional.
North Decatur played at the Shelbyville Invitational at Blue Bear Golf Course and placed third shooting 353 for the 18-hole event. Bloomington North topped Mooresville by a stroke for the title, 341-342.
Individually for the Chargers, Collin Bryant shot a fourth place best 84. Other scores for ND included: 88 by Jack Koehne, 89 from Carson Parmer and 92 by Brady Espinda.
There was a four-way match at Sunrise in Madison. Shawe won posting 179, Switzerland County scored 204 and Southwestern shot 222.
South Ripley didn’t have a full squad but was led by Eli Liming’s 57. Reese Swingle and Logan McGee shot 66 and 67 respectively.
Shawe’s Eli Turner was medalist with a 40. The Pacers Bryce Wrightsman was next individually with a 42. The Rebels low total was 49 from Matt Mingione.
The four teams who played at Madison will tee it up back at Sunrise on Monday at 11 am. The Madison Sectional has the following teams: Austin, Charlestown, Henryville, Jennings County, Madison Consolidated, New Washington, Rising Sun, Scottsburg, Shawe Memorial, Southwestern (Hanover), South Ripley and Switzerland County.
Most of our coverage schools will play at the Greensburg Country Club Friday morning at 8:30. The Greensburg Sectional includes: Batesville, Columbus East, Columbus North, East Central, Greensburg, Hauser, Jac-Cen-Del, Lawrenceburg, Milan, North Decatur, Oldenburg Academy, South Dearborn,
Meanwhile, Franklin County joins 10 other schools at the Liberty Country Club on Monday at 9 am: Cambridge City Lincoln, Centerville, Connersville, Hagerstown, Northeastern, Richmond, Rushville Consolidated, Tri, Union (Modoc) and Union County.
