H.S. baseball recaps from Wednesday, April 27

The following are high school baseball recaps from Wednesday, April 27.  All games are varsity unless noted otherwise.  There may be updates, so please check back.

Southwestern Hanover shut out Jac-Cen-Del 6-0.

The Rebels Jordan DeAtley tossed a one hitter with 15 strikeouts and two walks.  Teammate William Stockdale singled and had a sac fly RBI.  Keegan Gross collected two RBI without the benefit of a hit.

The Jac-Cen-Del collective pitching of Justin Swinney and Kameron Darnold surrendered only three hits but also walked six while striking out five.

Connersville lost 6-0 to Centerville.

The only hit for CHS came from Braxton Myers.

South Ripley lost 26-2 at home against Madison.

The Raiders Trenton Smith had two doubles and scored both Ripley runs.

Milan beat Shawe 4-3 on a walk-off single by Logan Burton.

Burton, Holden Acra and Caiden Yorn all had two hits for the Indians.  Teammate Jerimiah Johnson collected four hits and was also the winning pitcher during one inning of relief.

For the Toppers, Wyatt Nichter singled with two RBI and was also the pitcher of record.  Philip Kahn drove in the team’s other run on a base hit.

North Decatur fell 8-5 to Rushville.

Reid Messer and Ty Litmer both had two hits for the Chargers.  The Lions got a single and triple plus one RBI from Maurice Manghelli.  Lincoln Comer drove in two runs. Adam Sizemore doubled in one and Bryce Berkemeier picked up a ribbie.
