Group solar plan offered in Batesville/Oldenburg

Batesville, In. — Solarize Batesville/Oldenburg has a group discount program for residents. To qualify for the Solarize Group Discount a signature on a Letter of Intent. No payment is required and there is no obligation.

The cost of solar panels has fallen 75 percent since 2010. Once the panels are paid off, money for your electric bill will now stay in your wallet.

The organization has a pre-selected installer that will develop an individual plan and properly install the panels.

Three “Saving with Solar” information sessions are planned. Wednesday, August 16 at 7 p.m. in the Batesville Memorial Public Library, Thursday, August 17 at 6:30 p.m. in the ICA Hall, Oldeburg first floor classroom and Monday, August 21 at 6:30 p.m. in the Batesville Memorial Public Library.

Local organizer, Sister Claire Whalen says, “The switch to renewable fuels will insure a clean environment for generations to come and is inevitable. Making the change now just makes since.”
