Greensburg, IN — A groundbreaking ceremony was held on Wednesday in the City of Greensburg for Phase 2 of the Veterans Way Project. As many have referred to the area as “The Road to Nowhere,” the second phase of the Veterans Way project, once finished, will run from Memorial Way to the intersection of State Route 3 and Lincoln Street. Officials from the Greensburg Redevelopment Commission, City Council, Board of Works, American Structurepoint, Milestone Construction, Greensburg Decatur County Economic Development, as well as Mayor Josh Marsh, all spoke about the history and future of this project and what it means for the City of Greensburg.
Planning and talks on the project started around 2007, with the majority of the work starting back in 2013. The project is currently scheduled for completion in 2021.
