Greensburg defeated Batesville 25-15, 25-17 and 25-17 in varsity volleyball Monday.
“It was a total team effort and we had some unsung heroes,” said Greensburg coach June Rigney. “We made our presence known at the net, not necessarily getting blocks, but helping our defense. Leah West, on the right side of the net, is getting better and better. Our middles, Ella Chapman and Claire Nobbe are improving across the net while Josie Nobbe, Janae Comer and Carlee Adams continue to do a great job managing sets when we are out of system. Defensively, Christina Fogg did a great job reading their offense and keeping balls alive as did Abigail Hoeing. We are now 7-0.”
