Greensburg, IN — Another local high school is switching from a grass field to a synthetic playing surface.
The Greensburg Community School Board recently signed off on improvements to the high school football field and track.
The board accepted a $1,128,150 bid from SprintTurf to install synthetic turf at Shriver Field, while Oheil Site Solutions had the winning bid of $1,045,00 to improve the track.
Construction is set to start in late April.
Greensburg becomes the latest Southeastern Indiana high school to install the synthetic surface at its football stadium, following East Central, Batesville, Milan, Franklin County, Lawrenceburg, and South Dearborn.
