Greensburg couple arrested for child solicitation

GREENSBURG, Ind. — Two Greensburg residents have been arrested after police say they attempted to solicit a 15-year-old girl.

According to police, Michael L. Hollin, 39, and Jodi R. Griffin, 34, each face a single charge of child solicitation. Police say the couple used social media to lure the girl into their house in order to engage in sexual acts.

During an investigation, the teen told investigators Griffin sat too close to her for comfort and touched her legs. She also said Griffin asked her if she needed help while she showered. The teen said the couple was aware of her age.

The girl showed her mom a Facebook message of the couple attempting to solicit her; the mother then contacted police.

A jury trial has been scheduled for August 2. Bond for Hollin has been set at $250,000 while bond for Griffin is set at $200,000. Hollin is registered as a sexually violent predator on the state’s sex offender registry from a conviction in 2012 of child molesting.
