Lawrenceburg, Ind. — LifeTime Resources has received a grant from the Dearborn County Hospital to help serve seniors and incapacitated adults. Circuit court judge James Humphrey also supported the effort.
The Volunteer Advocates for Seniors or Incapacitated Adults grant of $50,000 from the Indiana Supreme Court will be combined with $12,500 from the Dearborn County Hospital to maintain and operate the volunteer guardianship program.
To qualify for the VASIA grant program applicants must have a matching donation.
LifeTime Resources is designed to meet temporary or emergency guardianship needs of seniors or incapacitated adults. The service insures seniors and incapacitated adults are protected under the full extent of the law.
This grant allows the program to use volunteers to provide various forms of assistance like calling or visiting, escorting to healthcare appointments, helping apply for benefits or other applicable services.
