Georgie Marie Simpson, 90, of Greensburg, Indiana passed away peacefully at home on December 14, 2023. She was born on July 23, 1933 in Jeffersonville, Kentucky, the daughter of Monroe and Alice Brewer Branham. Georgie was a 1952 graduate of Crittenden High School, Kentucky. She married Merle Simpson on January 22, 1953. Georgie was a homemaker and enjoyed working in her award-winning flower gardens, painting, ceramics, long walks on the beach and spending time with her family.
She will be missed by her loving husband of 72 years and her children Gayle Simpson (Anna), Susan Whitmire, Mark Simpson (Starr) and Don Simpson (Diane). She will also be missed by her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Georgie was preceded in death by her parents and siblings.
