Mr. Frederick G. “Fritz” Robinson, age 63, of Daleville, Indiana, entered this life on April 11, 1960 in Anderson, Indiana. He was the loving son of the late Frank Eugene Robinson, Sr. and Clara Agnes (Koopman) Robinson. Fritz was raised in Anderson, Indiana and was a 1978 graduate of the Anderson High School. Fritz was united in marriage on August 18, 1984 at the Nazarene Church in Anderson, Indiana to Nila Jean Lauderbaugh. This happy union was blessed with a daughter, Katie Jo. Fritz and Nila shared 42 years as soulmates together and nearly 36 years of marriage together until Nila passed away on July 19, 2020. As a young child, Fritz built many model cars with his siblings which led him into the design field. In 1978, Fritz began his career path as a draftsman and designing 3D models for Barber Manufacturing in Anderson, Indiana. He was later employed for Multiple Engineering in Anderson, Indiana, Guide Corporation in Anderson, Indiana, Rolls Royce in Indianapolis, Indiana, EnerDel in Noblesville, Indiana and for Belcan in Indianapolis, Indiana. Fritz retired in March 2021 from Hoosier Feeder in Knightstown, Indiana. He loved coaching the Little Broncos basketball team in Daleville, Indiana, from 2003-2008. He loved showing off his ’68 Chevy Impala and his ’68 Chevy Caprice. Fritz was a gentle giant with a huge heart and could light up any room. He never met a stranger and loved watching his daughter perform at various music gigs, gardening and car shows. For many years, Fritz dressed up as Frankenstein for Halloween and enjoyed entertaining the many trick-or-treater’s at their home with chili and hot dogs. Fritz and Nila especially enjoyed celebrating Christmas and dressing up as Mr. and Mrs. Claus and seeing the many smiles on children’s faces. Fritz passed away at 5:23 p.m., Wednesday, December 20, 2023, at the Envive Healthcare of Anderson in Anderson, Indiana.
Fritz will be deeply missed by his daughter, Katie Jo Robinson and her companion, Meg of Anderson, IN; his siblings, Karen Robinson, Mary Anne Smith and her husband, Courtney, Francis Robinson and his wife, Rita and Kevin Robinson and his wife, Sandy all of Anderson, IN; his special nephew, Cody Robinson and his wife, Jen and their children, Adalynn and Eli of Alexandria, IN; his several other nieces, nephews and cousins; his special great-niece and great-nephew, Leah Schwann and Damon Pardue; Nila’s family, Louis and Norma Lauderbaugh of Crawfordsville, IN, James Irvin “Nub” Scott of Moorefield, IN, Gordon and Nancy Bennett of Rising Sun, IN and Janet “Peachy” and Robert “Bobby” Kent of Indianapolis, IN; his good friends, Larry Dietenne and Bill Prince of Anderson, IN and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Frank Eugene Robinson, Sr.; his mother, Clara Agnes (Koopman) Robinson; his wife, Nila Jean (Lauderbaugh) Robinson; his sister, Janet Jenkins; his brother, Frank Eugene Robinson, Jr.; his niece, Shenna Jenkins; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Norris Wayne and Betty Jo (Bennett) Lauderbaugh; his brother-in-law, Larry William Fair; Nila’s grandparents, Stanley and Stella (Romans) Bennett; Nila’s family, Linda Lee (Lauderbaugh) Scott and Lowell Wayne and Donna Sue (Ayler) Bennett.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 23, 2023, at the Daleville Christian Church, 14220 West Daleville Road, Daleville, Indiana 47334.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 23, 2023, by Pastor Gary McManus, at the Daleville Christian Church, 14220 West Daleville Road, Daleville, Indiana 47334.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 26, 2023, at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street, Vevay, Indiana 47043. Graveside Services will be conducted at 12:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 26, 2023 in the Vevay Cemetery, Vevay, Indiana.
