George Brown, 87 years old, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 6, 2025.
George was born in Colorado and grew up in Kansas City where he graduated from
high school. His parents, Carl and Hattie, were dancers and owned a ballroom in
Kansas City where they taught George to dance from a young age. After he moved to
Cincinnati in the early 1970’s, he enjoyed showing off his skills at singles dances in the
Tri-County area. He was also quite the handy man and helped his family with different
tile and painting projects while also working at Home Depot. Many of George’s
neighbors at North Dearborn Village Apartments in Bright would agree that he was a
social butterfly and especially enjoyed playing bingo three times a week. An avid
Kansas City Chiefs and Cincinnati Reds fan, George looked forward to watching his
favorite teams on TV and enjoyed going out to eat with his family and friends. George
was a proud veteran of the United States Army.
George will be deeply missed by children Lisa (Dennis) Steiner, Steve Brown, Chris
(Annie) Brown, and Jennifer (Marty) Miller; grandchildren Angela Brown, Amanda
(Cameron) Mason, Abby Brown, and Brady Miller. George is preceded in death by his
parents Carl and Hattie (Syas) Brown and brothers Carl, Otto, and Robert Brown.
Serviced for George will be held on Monday, September 22 at Andres-Wuestefeld
Funeral Home beginning with a celebration of life at 9:00am. A prayer service will begin
at 10:00am followed by military honors at the funeral home and burial at the Indiana
