Gary Wayne Marksberry, 85, of Moores Hill passed away Tuesday, January 27, 2026. Gary was born on Monday, September 9, 1940, in Milan; son of Orville and Henrietta (Birkle) Marksberry. Gary married Donna Ann (Huffman) Marksberry, on June 19, 1959, and she survives him. He worked for Anchor Glass and was a member of the Moores Hill Church of Christ. Gary proudly served in the United States Marine Corps. He enjoyed gardening, taking care of and mowing his yard, and hunting moles. He also loved going camping, fishing, and enjoyed cutting wood. Gary will always be remembered as a good husband and father who dearly loved his family, and his family also loved and cherished him.
Gary will be missed by his wife Donna Marksberry of Moores Hill; sons Rick (Kay) Marksberry of Franklin, Ohio, Randy (Lisa) Marksberry of Milan, Gary (Stacy) Marksberry of Moores Hill, and Larry (Shawna) Marksberry of Aurora; brother Ronnie Marksberry of Moores Hill; sister Judy Tiemeyer of West Chester, Ohio; grandchildren Tim Marksberry, Brittany (Brandon) Doller, Ricky Marksberry, Sarah (Jeremy Miller) Pyles, Brian (Amber) Marksberry, Casey (Sierra) Marksberry, Heather (Mike) Miller, and Danny (Candra) Marksberry; and great-grandchildren Jade Miller, Brody Doller, Aiden Pyles, Audrey Marksberry, Chloe Pyles, Madison Doller, Bryson Miller, and Luke Marksberry.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents Orville and Henrietta Marksberry; great-granddaughter Hailey Marie Pyles; sister-in-law Glenda Marksberry; and brother-in-law Fred Tiemeyer.
Family and friends may gather in remembering Gary from 10:00 AM-12:00 PM, Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at Moores Hill Church of Christ: 13567 IN-350, Moores Hill, IN 47032. Services will follow at 12:00 PM with Tito Pel officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery. Memorials may be given in honor of Gary to Moores Hill Church of Christ or Forest Hill Cemetery.
