Garry Lee “Kool Aid” Vest Jr., age 49, passed away peacefully at his home in Versailles, Indiana, on January 8, 2026.
Garry was born on December 17, 1976, to Garry Vest and Victoria Burnett (Kimmon). He was a dedicated employee of Hill-Rom, where he was known for his strong work ethic and reliability.
Garry lived life with heart and soul. He loved the open road and traveling on his Harley, enjoyed music and karaoke, found peace in fishing, and cherished every moment spent with his family. His larger-than-life personality and infectious spirit left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.
He is survived by his loving mother, Victoria Burnett; his former wife of 14 years and best friend, Becky Druschel; his children, Sean (Jennifer) Vest, Austin (Justis) Vest, and Kylie Vest; and his cherished grandchildren, Lucie, Adalynn, Eden, Cora, Gunner, Piper, and Jackson. He is also survived by his sister, Brandi Holt, and many close friends.
Garry was preceded in death by his father, Garry Vest, and his brother, Steven W. Vest and step father Ernest Burnett.
Friends and family will be received on Saturday, January 17, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Rullman Hunger Funeral Home, 219 Mechanic Street, Aurora, Indiana 47001, with services to follow.
Donations may be made to the funeral home in honor of Garry to help offset expenses.
