Frederick A. “Fred” Miller, 74, of Lawrenceburg, IN, passed away Friday, July 8, 2016 in Lawrenceburg, IN. surrounded by his wife and children as he peacefully passed from their loving embrace to his heavenly fathers loving arms.
He was born Thursday, July 10, 1941 in Hooven, Ohio, Son of the late Frederick Miller and the late Ethel Arrowood Miller.
He served his Country during the Korean Conflict as a member of the United States Army.
He worked as a Steam Engineer for Sun Chemical. He was a member of Lawrenceburg American Legion and the National Rifle Association. Fred enjoyed fixing things, problem solving, fishing, gardening and working in the yard. He loved to travel. His favorite pastime was time spent with his family.
As a child Fred loved to pick on his siblings, he was a prankster but yet he was the big brother they looked up to. Fred grew into a man with a great work ethic, who strived to be a good provider for his family. To those who knew him, would say Fred was loyal, honest, dependable, loving and caring. Even though he did not show his emotions well, Fred would do anything he could for those he cared about. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Surviving are his wife, Judy Downey Miller of Lawrenceburg, IN; children, Robin Bryant of Aurora, IN, Tina (Larry) Walters of Lawrenceburg, IN, Kristi (Lacy) Sexton of West Harrison, IN, Jamie Miller of Lawrenceburg, IN; Siblings, Sandra (Hank) Banks of Dover, IN, Linda (Bill) Poindexter of Cincinnati, OH, Dennis Miller of Dover, IN; Numerous grandchildren & great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by parents, brother, Marvin Miller; children, Daniel Keith Bryant & Dawn Miller Bryant; granddaughter, Lacy Marie Sexton.
Friends will be received 5:00 – 7:30 PM, Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at the Rullman Hunger Funeral Home, Aurora, Indiana.
Services will be held at the Funeral Home, Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at 7:30 pm, immediately following visitation.
Military services will be conducted by members of local Veterans Service Organizations.
