Fred Eckstein, 66, of Sevierville, TN entered this life on November 4, 1955. He was the 7th child of the late Charles and Edna Eckstein. He was raised in Delhi, OH and moved to Sunman, IN as a teenager. He is survived by his beloved wife of over 40 years, Kathy. Fred and Kathy moved to Tennessee in order to pursue their dreams. Fred founded Commercial Door and Hardware (Formerly Indiana Interiors) in 1989 and operated it for over 30 years. He employed hundreds of individuals and touched the lives of thousands. In 2003 he pursued his dream to become a private pilot. As Fred would do, he shared his love of flying with family, friends, and also flew Young Eagles. He loved to entertain and share his home on the lake with family and friends.

Fred was a beloved husband, Father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. His laugh was infectious and was always ready for a fun time with family and friends. Fred will be deeply missed by his wife, Kathy, of Sevierville, TN; his children, Mark Harrison of Knoxville and Tabitha (Keith) McKinney of Sevierville , TN; his grandchildren, Ciera Harrison, Chaz (Amber) McKinney, Tori (Harris) Napier and Preston McKinney; great-grandchildren, Bentlee and Maverick, as well as eagerly awaiting the arrival of two more in the coming months; his siblings, Charles (Arlene) Eckstein, Henry (Kathy) Eckstein, Rita (Dale) Jacobs, Len (Marcia) Eckstein, Ken (Mary Lou) Eckstein, Tom (Michele Hon) Eckstein, Frank (Margie) Eckstein, Jeff (Amie) Eckstein; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Fred was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Edna, sisters, Kathy Bender and Helen Rose, as well as niece, Tammy Bender. Services will be held at Atchley Funeral Home in Sevierville, TN on October 14th from 5pm – 8pm. Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Pigeon Forge, TN on October 15th at noon
