Brookville, IN — The Franklin County Soil and Water Conservation District will hold their 10th Annual Tree Giveaway & Canned Food Drive tomorrow to commemorate Arbor Day. Over 700 tree seedlings will be available on a first-come, first-served basis at their office on Oxford Pike in Brookville starting at 9 am. There will be a limit of five trees per person. A variety of tree species will be available including white oak, white pine, river birch, and tulip tree. Please bring canned food items in exchange for your five free trees. Food will be donated to Brookville area food pantries. This event will be drive up this year. Please pull into a parking space and wait in your car. Someone will come out to collect canned food donations and will take your order for trees. While canned good donations are always appreciated, they are not required to receive trees.
