(Franklin County, IN) – The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office says a scam is making the rounds in which someone is impersonating a deputy.
The caller says you have missed jury duty and that you need to pay a fine.
Franklin County deputies say they will never initiate this sort of call.
If you receive one of these, you’re urged not to give out any personal information and hang up immediately.
Deputies also say you should contact your local judge’s office to verify if you are on the jury duty list.
