Franklin County cow sold to Michigan Farm positive with bovine TB

LAKE COUNTY, Michigan — A cow that was transported from Franklin County to Michigan was infected with bovine tuberculosis.

The Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development said last week that a cow on a farm in Lake County in Western Michigan tested positive for bovine tuberculosis.

It has since been euthanized.

Officials in Indiana say the cow was sold from the infected herd in Franklin County before the herd tested positive last year.
