Brookville, IN — Eighth-grade students got to experience the everyday peaks and valleys of adult life Thursday at WRBI’s Reality Check at Franklin County Middle School.

In addition to the host school, students from St. Michaels participated in the program, which offers students a chance to get a taste of adult life.

They had to make choices, select careers, budget, and deal with family situations among other things.

The program is returning to area schools this year after the COVID-19 pandemic pause.

Students, educators, and volunteers say the experience provides a valuable lesson about the challenges faced by grown-ups.
