(Hamilton County, OH) – A man who was expelled from a local high school six years ago for having a weapon on campus has been charged with Murder in Hamilton County Ohio.

24-year-old Cole Hornsby is accused of shooting and killing 40-year-old Theodore John Block at a home in Whitewater Township late Tuesday night.

Hornsby was expelled from East Central High School in 2018 for possession of a firearm on campus.

He was convicted in Dearborn County two years ago of stalking a woman who was a classmate of his at East Central.

Investigators say a verbal altercation between the two neighbors led up to the shooting, and that Block was shot five times.

Hornsby was arrested early Wednesday and is jailed on $750,000 bond.
