(Southeastern IN) – The Flood Watch has been extended until 11 p.m. tonight.
The National Weather Service says flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. Excessive runoff may result in the flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Forecasters says another round of showers and storms are expected through this evening. The potential exists for more heavy rain to fall on wet or saturated soils. Additional rainfall amounts of one to two inches, with locally higher amounts, will be possible.
You should be prepared to take action should flooding develop, especially if you live in a flood-prone area. Monitor the latest forecasts and be alert for possible flood warnings.
