Versailles, Ind. — The National Weather Service has issued a flood warning for Ripley County until 11:30 a.m. Thursday.
At 5:29 a.m. local law enforcement officials reported water and debris floating across the roadway on U.S. 50 in the Versialles area. U.S. 50 is now closed at the Ripley/Jennings County line. There have also been reports of water over the roadway in Napoleon. Officials say more than two inches of rain has fallen so far.
Some locations that could experience flooding include, Versailles, Osgood, Holton, Napoleon, Millhousen, Rexville, Benham, New Marion, Friendship, Versailles Lake, Cross Plains, Otter Village and Olean.
