Ripley County, IN — Two more Republican candidates have filed in Ripley County to run in this year’s city and town elections.
Incumbent Cheryl Taylor turned in paperwork to run again for Sunman Clerk-Treasurer, and Jerry Ertel has placed his name in contention for Batesville City Council District 1.
The Batesville Council District 1 seat is currently held by Democrat Derrick Cox.
The deadline to file for this year’s municipal election is Friday at Noon.
