Evelyn (Gentry) Clark, 73, of Milan passed away Tuesday, November 16, 2021, at Ripley Crossing in Milan. Evelyn was born on Saturday, August 14, 1948 in Blake, Kentucky, the daughter of Clifton and Lillian (Clem) Gentry. Evelyn was a homemaker and loved to cook. Some of the hobbies she enjoyed included gardening, flowers, watching tv, listening to music, crafting, and in her earlier years she enjoyed dancing. Evelyn’s greatest passion in life was spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Evelyn will be missed by her loving family including her daughter Brenda (Kenny) Cowden; sons Mark (Jennifer) Clark, Jimmy Clark (Cindy Castner), and Thomas Clark; sisters Teresa Holtegel and Connie Hudson; brother Everett (Sandi) Gentry; grandchildren: Jesica Leigh (David) Kalmbach, Jennifer Lynn Peck (Michael Rupp), Gage Edger (Keesha) Clark, Alyssa Ann McMurray, Will Clark, Markie Clark, Autumn Clark, and Makenzie Clark; great-grandchildren: Jaguar Vivek Kalmbach, Iorek Roland Kalmbach, Jameson Lane Clark, Addeson Mae Clark, Kylie Louise Clark, and William David Rupp; several nieces and nephews; and many great nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Clifton and Lillian; daughter Norma Sue Clark; sons Daniel Clark and Andrew Wayne Clark.
Family and friends may gather in remembering Evelyn from 9 – 11 AM Monday, November 22, 2021 at the Filter-DeVries-Moore Funeral Home in Dillsboro. A service will immediately follow at 11 AM. Burial will follow in Oakdale Cemetery. Memorials may be given in honor of Evelyn to the Alzheimer’s Association or the Ripley Crossing Activity Fund.
