Emily Prifogle – Brookville

Emily Prifogle, age 33, of Brookville, Indiana was born on May 16, 1986 in Batesville, a daughter to John and Connie Wendel Flaspohler.  After high school she lived in New York City while interning with the Today Show, Conan O’Brien, and Saturday Night Live working on their promos and then with the Indianapolis Zoo in marketing before graduating from DePauw University in 2008, where she was a Delta Gamma Sorority sister.  Most recently Emily was Project manager for the IT department of Batesville Casket.  She capitalized on her ability to see details and was very organized.  She loved to travel and enjoyed every opportunity to see new places, enjoying the food and flavors of each spot.  Emily married Brandon James Prifogle on December 1, 2012 and together they welcomed their son, Rhett on May 23, 2019.

A member of St. John’s UCC Penntown, Emily was gifted with a beautiful voice and the ability to recall lyrics easily.  She took TRX at the Y and ended up a runner at the urging of her instructor.  She ran the Flying Pig half marathon many times and even finished the Indianapolis Monumental Marathon.  She trained with a Tri-State Running Club and ran with the What the Hill?! Group from Batesville.   Emily loved the water, fishing and skiing.  She was an avid Notre Dame Football fan and enjoyed watching games at the stadium with her Dad and husband.  Emily recently had remodeled her grandpa’s house to make room for her new baby and husband.  She was dreaming of decorating for Christmas and playing piano in her new space.  Emily as so thankful for the prayers and support that was given to help her battle Hemophagocytic Lymphohistiocytosis (HLH).  Her friends and family will remember her as a spark of light taken too early.  She passed away Tuesday, December 3, 2019.
