Batesville, IN – We have seen a lot from Elly De La Cruz on the field, including acrobatic catches, jaw dropping home runs, and what seems like fire come off the ball after a throw from his short stop position, but we’ve only scratched the surface on what Elly can do.
Believe it or not, we haven’t seen it all just yet from Elly, and we will see the Reds’ All-Star shortstop achieve another milestone in March when he is set to become the first ever Red to be featured on an MLB The Show cover along with Baltimore Orioles’ Gunnar Henderson, and Pittsburgh Pirates’ Paul Skenes! The youngster put up some pretty impressive numbers in 2024 on his way to his first All-Star appearance for the Reds. De La Cruz batted .259, hit 25 home runs, 76 RBI’s, and stole an MLB-leading 67 bases.
Well, the new superstar will get his flowers this season by being featured on his first MLB The Show cover. Elly De La Cruz is a generational talent and should continue to impress fans with his unbelievable speed and power for years and years to come in Cincinnati. Go Reds!
