yed many interests.  Some of those included meticulously caring for his yard, square dancing, boating and water skiing.  He and Marge also liked to go camping with the family or with their Jayco camping club friends.  A campfire was a good thing even in July.  Ed also had a passion for cars.  He used to have a Corvette that he had to sell before Marge would date him (he apparently also had a passion for speed).  When they married, they purchased a ’63 Chevy convertible that is still a beloved part of the family.  A devout family man, he dearly loved his grandkids, whether that was having pancakes with them or attending their activities and games.

He is survived by his wife Marge; daughters Barbara (Bill) Hartman of Batesville, Jacqueline (Tom) Huber of Batesville, Beth (Nathan) Walsman of Greensburg; sons Timothy (Trish) Hunter of Batesville, Jeffrey Hunter of Batesville, Jason (Kate) Hunter of Oldenburg; sisters JoAnn Ledford, Peggy Hunter and brother Ted Hunter, all of Connersville; twenty grandchildren and one great grandchild.  In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his sister Betty Miller.

Visitation is Friday, January 13th from 4 – 7 p.m. at the Weigel Funeral Home.  Funeral services are 10 a.m. Saturday, January 14th also at the funeral home with Rev. Jeff Edwards officiating.  Burial will be in St. Louis Cemetery with military rites conducted by the Prell-Bland American Legion Post #271 and the Ripley County V.F.W.
