Edith Lucy (Wonn) Veid, 94, of Lawrenceburg passed away Friday, July 23, 2021, at Ridgewood Health Campus in Lawrenceburg. Edith was born on Saturday, February 5, 1927, in Cincinnati, Ohio and was the daughter of George and Marcella (Steiner) Wonn. She married Edward C. Veid and he preceded her in death on May 31, 2004. Edith was a homemaker and before her husband’s passing in 2004 they loved spending time together at their place on Laughery Creek. She enjoyed swimming and fishing, but her greatest passion in life was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Those who will share Edith’s memories include her daughter-in-law Aimee Hiett of Dillsboro; grandchildren Jason Veid, Josh (Amber) Veid, Noah (Heather) Veid, Isaac (Danielle) Veid, Emma Veid; and eight great-grandchildren.
Edith was preceded in death by her parents, George and Marcella, her husband Edward, and her two sons Gerald Veid and Kirk Veid.
There are no services planned. Memorials may be given in honor of Edith to the Indiana Library Books on Tape.
