She’s had countless big games in her career, but Josie Trabel’s midweek efforts against Kentucky’s Dixie Heights and Richmond made her East Central Girls Basketball’s all-time leading scorer.
In a 60-50 win over Dixie Wednesday, Trabel tallied 20 points, eight rebounds and four assists. Then on Thursday during a 62-38 thumping of Richmond, the junior (not senior) dropped in 18 more points plus six boards and three dishes.
Trabel surpassed 1he former record of 1185 points held by 2016 graduate Allie McCool. And, again, she’s only a junior.
More details from Wednesday against the Lady Colonels, Hope Fox found her way into double double territory with 13 points and 10 rebounds to go along with four dishes and three steals. Caitlyn Dick added 13 points.
And also making notable contributions against the Lady Red Devils, Laney Baker and Fox both scored 13. Fox also amassed six boards, a half-dozen steals and five assists.
