East Central FFA teams qualify for state competition in Soils Evaluation

ST. LEON, IN — The East Central FFA competed in the Area One Soils Evaluation Career Development Event at the Southeast Purdue Agriculture Center in Butlerville on Wednesday, September 29.

East Central’s top placing junior team placed 2nd overall. The team consisted of Jake Lutz, Tyler Stenger, Peyton Zinser, and Emily Stenger.

East Central’s top senior team placed 6th out of 20. This team consisted of Bradley Kolb, Lewis Darringer, Abby Vendler, and Riley Schumate.

Both teams qualified for the state-level competition.

The state competition will be held on October 16 in Dubois County.

East Central’s top placing junior contestant was Wyatt Bischoff, placing 5th overall. Bradley Kolb was East Central’s top placing senior, coming in at 11th overall.
