E. Virginia Buchanan, 95, of Greensburg passed away on December 2, 2021. She was born on July 1, 1926 in Quinton, Oklahoma the daughter of Oscar and Elsie (Rose) Riggs. Virginia was a 1945 graduate of Tech High School in Indianapolis. She married James Buchanan on April 9, 1950 and together they had seven children. Virginia worked as a secretary at Cummins in Columbus.
Survivors include: Children, Debbie (Ron) Adkins, Mike Buchanan, Mary Tempest, Marsha (John) Seal, Robert Buchanan, and Donna (Phil) Jackson; 8 Grandchildren; and 7 Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her Parents; Husband, James Buchanan; Infant Daughter; Granddaughter, Veronica Adkins; Great Grandson, Paycin Kritlow; and Brother, Billy Riggs.
A visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at the Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home from 12:00 pm until the time of the funeral at 1:00 pm. Rev. Perry Cook will be officiating. Burial will follow at the Milford Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society.
