Donald W. Strotman, 83

Donald William Strotman, formerly of Cincinnati, died in his favorite chair while praying the Rosary on Friday, January 31, 2025, at the age of 83. The son of George and Eleanor (Miller) Strotman was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on October 17, 1941.

Don graduated from Roger Bacon High School and received his bachelor’s degree from Xavier University. He was a veteran of the Ohio National Guard and a devout Catholic. Don married his love, Kathleen Reardon, and has missed her dearly, since her passing in 2013.

Don liked spending time outside. Whether it was being out on the water boating, swimming in his pool with family and friends, or hanging around the campfire shooting the breeze. He enjoyed playing in a couple of golf leagues and even used to go hiking when he was younger. Don loved to sightsee and travel all around the U.S. as well.

Don always enjoyed playing cards and poker on Friday nights. He was a big Xavier sports fan and rooted for his hometown Cincinnati Bengals too. Most of all Don cherished the time he spent with his family, especially his grandchildren.

He is survived by his beloved children, Mike (Debbie) Strotman, Tom (Julie) Strotman, Maureen (Jeff Polly) Strotman, Denny (Jen) Strotman, and Mary (Rich) Diemar; 27 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and wife, Don was preceded in death by his siblings, Lucille, George, Robert, and Ed Strotman.
