Donald B. Seaver, 92, of Aurora, Indiana, passed away Friday, August 6, 2021, in Aurora, Indiana.
He was born January 9, 1929, in Gallatin County, KY, son of the late Andrew Seaver and May (McKinney) Seaver.
He was a member and Past Master of the Aurora Masonic Lodge, Syrian Temple of Cincinnati, and Scottish Rite of Indianapolis. Don loved trucking and started at an early age. He was a Teamster and worked for several trucking companies, CL&A, Aikins and after his retirement, he owned and operated his Mack dump truck. In his early years, Don enjoyed hunting and fishing especially at Lake Erie. He enjoyed horses, dogs, and being outdoors in nature. He also served as a Lawrenceburg Police Officer. His passion was his music. He played the rhythm guitar for years and was a member of the String Busters Band. Family time was the most precious for him. He was a great husband, dad and grandpa. He will be greatly missed.
Donald is survived by his, daughter, Deborah “Debbie” (Darwin) Disbro of Aurora, IN; sons, Jim (Carol) Ashcraft of Milan, IN, John (Jackie) Seaver of Versailles, IN; Grandchildren, Tom, Jason, Johnnie, Shawn, Chasity, Steve, Ronnie, Heather & Cami; numerous great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by parents, Andrew and May Seaver; wife of 46 years, Jean E. Seaver; son, Dolan “Butch” Seaver and his wife Debby Seaver; brothers, Dolan & Dallas Seaver.
Friends will be received Wednesday, August 11, 2021, 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm at the Rullman Hunger Funeral Home, 219 Mechanic Street, Aurora, IN.
Services will be held at the Funeral Home, at 2:00 pm following visitation with Pastor Tom Holt officiating.
Interment will follow in the River View Cemetery, Aurora, Indiana.
