Dispatcher arrested on Official Misconduct and related charges

(Greensburg, IN) – A Decatur County Sheriff’s Office dispatcher was arrested Wednesday on two felony charges for allegedly accessing an internal law enforcement system and releasing case-sensitive information to the public.

Indiana State Police say sheriff’s deputies got wind of what was allegedly happening and contacted Versailles Post detectives who determined that 42-year-old Heidi Miracle of Holton allegedly accessed the system and took a recording of a video obtained during a criminal investigation.

She allegedly shared the video with people outside of law enforcement through a messaging app, and she’s accused of posting a recording to one of her social media pages.

Miracle was arrested and charged with Official Misconduct and Offense Against Intellectual Property.

She is being held in the Decatur County Detention Center.
