Diane E. (Dorsey) Tague, age 73, of Moores Hill, Indiana, formerly of Switzerland County, Indiana, entered this life on October 12, 1951 in Madison, Indiana. She was raised in Fairview, Indiana and was a 1969 graduate of the Switzerland County High School. Diane was united in marriage to James Arthur “Jim” Tague on October 15, 1976 at the Fairview United Methodist Church. This happy union was blessed with two children, Jason and Jessica. Diane was employed for the US Shoe Factory in Vevay, Indiana and for Marble Hill Nuclear Power Plant in Jefferson County, Indiana. Diane was a former accountant for Triumph Energy in Harrison, Ohio, retiring in 2020, after 36 years of service. Diane was a member of the Fairview United Methodist Church in Fairview, Indiana. She found enjoyment in gambling and shopping, and while she was known for her strong work ethic, she was a devoted mother and grandmother and cherished her time spent with her family. Diane passed away at 3:43 a.m., Wednesday, August 27, 2025, at the St. Elizabeth Dearborn Hospital in Lawrenceburg, Indiana.
Diane is survived by her son, Jason M. Tague of Moores Hill, IN; her daughter, Jessica Shuck and her husband, James IV. of Madison, IN; and her grandchildren, Margaret “Marlo” Tague and her fiancé, Leo Scruggs, Caitlin Epperson, and James Shuck V.
She was preceded in death by her father, Paul L. Dorsey, died September 8, 1995; her mother, Hazel Marie (Knigga) Dorsey, died October 9, 2009; her former husband and father to her children, James Arthur “Jim” Tague, died December 30, 2022; her maternal-grandparents, Chris and Audra (Waller) Knigga; and her paternal-grandparents, Daniel “Dan” and Ethel (Ayers) Dorsey.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., Friday, August 29, 2025, at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street, Vevay, Indiana 47043.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Friday, August 29, 2025, by Bro. Roy Duckworth, at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street, Vevay, Indiana 47043.
Interment will follow in the Vevay Cemetery, Vevay, Indiana.
