Batesville, In. —Batesville police say a teen was seriously injured in a car accident at State Road 46 and Huntersville Road Wednesday morning around 8:50.
The initial report says a car driven by a 17-year-old female was northbound on Huntersville Road and failed to stop at the intersection of State Road 46. The car collided with a Franklin County Highway Department dump truck driven by Timothy Vanmeter, 57, of Laurel.
The driver of the car was flown to a Cincinnati area hospital with serious injuries. Vanmeter was not injured.
The accident remains under investigation.
