Derek Lee Olive, 33, of Sunman passed away Friday, December 31, 2021 at Mercy Health – Fairfield Hospital in Fairfield, Ohio. Derek was born on Tuesday, May 24, 1988 in Cincinnati, Ohio; son of Terry and Barbara (Cooper) Olive. Derek proudly served his country in the National Guard for 6 years. He enjoyed playing video games and board games. His loved spending time with his family and friends.
Derek will be missed by his parents, Terry and Barbara, of Sunman; brother Corey Olive (Laura Beth) of Columbus, Indiana; and many friends.
Derek is preceded in death by his grandparents.
Family and friends may gather in remembering Derek from 10am – 12pm on Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at the Sunman Community Church, 304 W Vine Street, Sunman, IN 47041. A service will follow at 12:00pm with Pastor Adam Boesken officiating. Burial will take place in St. Paul Methodist Cemetery.
