Two projects in Dearborn County are being funded.
Nearly $2.3 million will be used for work on Bridge #73 along St. Peters Road, just north of State Road 46; and $1.65 million will be spent on a bridge project on Lower Dillsboro Road, about one-and-a-half miles northeast of U.S. 50.
Statewide, the funding will support design, development, and construction efforts in these communities.
Nearly $129.1 million will go towards rehabilitating or replacing 49 bridges in poor condition, with additional funds for pavement projects, sidewalks, ADA ramps, and traffic safety initiatives.
INDOT dedicates approximately 25 percent of its federal highway funds to supporting local projects each year.
Communities must contribute at least 20 percent in local matching funds and meet other requirements to receive federal funding.
