DeAnna Kay Hall, age 56 of Osgood passed away on Saturday February 18, 2023, at Christ Hospital in Cincinnati. She was born on April 25, 1966, the daughter of the late Richard and Vivian (Sproul) Theobald in Danville, Illinois.
DeAnna completed high school and continued her education at University of Kentucky obtaining a bachelor’s degree. She later completed her master’s at the University of North Carolina. She spent several years working for the state of North Carolina, and the past several years working for the State of Indiana as a social worker. On the weekends you could find her working for the Jay C store in Osgood.
She enjoyed being able to help others, usually putting their needs in front of her own. Her last act of giving was to be an organ donor, in hopes others could benefit. She enjoyed antique shopping, especially collecting Wizard of Oz pieces. She liked to drive and visit historical markings and learn about their significance. She was known to provide unique shadow boxes for special occasions.
Her wit and humor will be dearly missed by sisters; Janelle (Charley) Gerber of Muncie, In, Michelle (Patrick) Derbin of Lexington, KY, and Shari (Larry) Levy of Georgetown, KY, step-mother Mary Stuart Theobald, along with cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by husband Russell Lewis Hall, her parents, and brother Daryl Wayne Theobald.
Visitation will be held on Saturday February 25, 2023, from 11 am-1 pm. at Neal’s Funeral Home in Osgood. A Celebration of Life will take place at 1 pm., with Charley Gerber officiating.
