ISP arrests man for Possession of Child Pornography

Bartholomew County, IN — Troopers from the Indiana State Police Crimes Against Children Task Force on Tuesday arrested a Columbus area man on numerous charges related to the Possession of Child Pornography after serving a search warrant at his Bartholomew County residence.

The investigation began in September 2022 after the ISP-Versailles Post received a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

Troopers say detectives determined that 61-year-old Kevin Ray Batman of rural Bartholomew County allegedly possessed images depicting child pornography.

The investigation led to troopers obtaining a search warrant for Batman’s residence.

Investigators say while the search warrant was being served, they found additional evidence of Possession of Child Pornography/Child Exploitation.

Batman was arrested and transported to the Bartholomew County Jail where he was booked on seven counts of Possession of Child Pornography (Level 5 felony) and one count of Possession of Child Pornography (Level 4 felony).

Kevin Batman is scheduled to make an initial appearance soon in the Bartholomew County Circuit Court.
