David R. Hendrickson, age 58, Bright

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of David R. Hendrickson, a beloved father, son, brother, and friend, who departed from this world on Thursday, December 11, 2025, in Edgewood, Kentucky. Born on May 16, 1967, in Cincinnati, Ohio, David lived a life that was rich with love, hard work, and dedication to his family.

David pursued his education at Taft High School, where he laid the foundation for a life characterized by strong values and determination. He became a well-respected construction contractor and long-distance truck driver, professions that reflected his unwavering commitment to hard work and craftsmanship. Throughout his career, he earned the admiration of colleagues and clients alike, leaving a mark in the industry that will be remembered by many.

He was a devoted father to his cherished children: Kimberly Smith, Jessica (Terry) Crist, David Hendrickson, and Emily (Shawn) Bowling. David took immense pride in their accomplishments and was an integral part of their lives, always offering guidance, support, and love.

David’s parents, Jerry and Sharon (nee Muir) Hendrickson, continue to hold in their hearts the memory of their son, who brought joy and light into their lives. He is also survived by his brother, Jeff (Brenda) Hendrickson, who shared countless moments of laughter and camaraderie with him throughout their lives.

David is preceded in death by his wives, Susan Oliver Hendrickson and Gladys Helton Hendrickson, and brother, Bryan Hendrickson. Their memories will always be etched in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

As we remember David R. Hendrickson, we celebrate the life of a dedicated family man and a talented professional. His legacy will carry on through the lives he touched and the love he shared, reminding us all to embrace the bonds of family and the importance of hard work. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to know him.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
