Curtis Hogan, age 83 of Brookville

Curtis Hogan Jr., of Brookville, was born on March 23, 1940, in Beattyville, Kentucky, a son to Curtis Sr. and Carlie Johnson Hogan.  He served his country in the United States Army and later married Donna Hogan and together they raised three children.  He was a member of the Brookville VFW and enjoyed watching NASCAR and spending time with grandkids, family and friends.  On Tuesday, May 30, 2023, at the age of 83, he passed away at Reid Health in Richmond.

Those surviving who will cherish Curtis’ memory include his children, Connie (Randy) Isaacs of Connersville, Missy (Kevin) Hohman of Brookville, Fred (Kate Worley) Hogan of Brookville, and Jeff (Cindy) Padgett of Uijeongbu, South Korea; companion, Judy Scott; 6 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren; three sisters, Norma (Steve) Smittey of Richmond, Judy Biltz of Richmond, and Shirley (Larry) McKinley of Oxford, and one brother, Jim Hogan (Jane Montgomery) of Indianapolis.  Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Donna; three sisters, Faye Lakes, Louise Patton, and Ruth Hogan as well as two brothers, Joe and John Hogan.

Friends may visit with the family on Sunday, June 4, 2023, from 2pm until time of service at 4pm at Cook Rosenberger Funeral Home, 929 Main Street, Brookville.  Military honors, provided by the Brookville American Legion Post #77 will conclude services at the funeral home and burial will follow at a later date.
