
(Milan, IN) – The Milan Fire Department received assistance from the Friendship Volunteer Fire Department in battling a barn fire on County Road 575 East early Saturday.
The initial call came in around 4 a.m.
Friendship provided tankers in support of the firefighting operation, as well as manpower for the arduous task of digging through what was left of the barn to ensure the fire was extinguished.
The preliminary cause of the blaze was listed as a lightning strike.
There were no injuries reported.
